"The Lily"
God gave her the gift of making things grow;
so to her garden my Grandmother did go
and there she placed the Lily.
My Aunt, her daughter, saw the love
that graced her Mother from above
and dug the bulb of the Lily.
To her niece she gave the flower
kinowing in her garden it soon would tower
- the gracious and lovely Lily.
The Lily grew and blossomed fair;
its wondrous beauty capture there
- an image of the Lily.
So to her Mother she gave the gift
knowing her spirits it soon would lift
- such was the fate of the Lily.
